Still in business in West Yellowstone. They had a Las Vegas location once now closed. I watched the hat for a while because I have some old leather saddle bags from West Yellowstone.Cool No. 1 Brent! Love that store logo.

I think they were more of an outfitter back in the day. Probably like the old saying goes...Location...location...location.Been a lot of hats from that store turn up here. They must have been one helluva hat store at some time. My black # 1 came from there.
Thanks, Reggie!I’ll have to say it again. That is a real beauty.

That's a beautiful Tonak, Steve.Tonak "Brillant", 58cm probably mid to later 1950s. The Velour has a fantastic finish and easily dry creases. The liner has a blue tint which makes me think the felt color could be more of a dark blueish black. This hat was made for the Czechoslovakian market.
Open Crown
You live and learn, live and learn. Move on and buy next time.Nothing new.... only wishing I'd got something. While in Mississippi, passed up a beautiful straw summer weight Stetson at Shankerman's in Clarksdale. And later in Memphis still another beautiful straw Dobbs at Lansky's in the Peabody Hotel. Too late now; man what was I thinkin'? Stupid is as stupid does.
Wow, what a wing span on that hat, Brent. I believe you could fly. Despite its defects, it's a great find.Stetson No. 1 Quality
5 3/4” open crown, 4 5/8” raw edge brim. The brim shape (flared bumpers) is a result of forcing the 7 1/2 hat onto my 7 5/8 long oval head. The crown is soft and holds any dry crease I want to put on it. The sweat is soft and very supple, but the surface is beginning to flake off in places. I’m not sure if the band is original, and it isn’t attached and relies solely on the friction to hold it on the crown (I suspect it was added later).

Nice Knox. Looks like a diamond crease would add to its beauty.Picked up the Knox Twenty from Buler. It got here today.
Not the greates photos but give you an idea how it looks. Very moldable felt. Really nice.
Like the 2 3/4 inch brim.

Could not have imagined a better home and head for it. She does look very pleased with it too, so no chance for you, Steve.Stefan kindly added this wonderful 1965 Pinazza, soft velvet, "petting" hat to three hats I just had to have. I was going to add photos of me wearing it, but damn it, my youngest daughter looks even better in it.
Proud that both my daughters have a natural affinity to hat wearing [emoji4]
