Don't hold your breath, Brent! I think I only saw one once and that was snapped up in seconds (and for a hefty price too). Plenty of toppers around, but large size toppers: unicorn territory!
Hi Garrett, what kind of crease is that? How about a head shot?
This is an amazingly beautiful hat Garrett!
Really too cool!!Hückel Weilheim "Derby" possibly late 1950s. Great form and the felt finish is fantastic. Also near mint condition.
This is an amazingly beautiful hat Garrett!
And very old i’m guessing.

Wow! Really, just WOW!! I love that long hair finish!!
Get well soon Daniele.Today I have a severe cold, I am stunned and I thought to put my hand to the photographic files concerning last year's purchases. I am rather reluctant to publish what I buy, but today, springtime, I open the windows to give air to some acquisitions. Those that follow are hats, more or less formed and finished, that come from a research laboratory on shapes and felts

Now they are, in part, in an hatter atelier to be transformed into finished hats, others are boxed with other old hats in need of care to return to their former glory
Mark, Thank you!Really too cool!!
It pained Stefan's heart to let this one go, but it didn't fit him, so I'm so grateful that he finally let me take it off his hands and let me put it on my head [emoji4]

Very impressive the mix between an homburg and a top hat. Where it come from?It pained Stefan's heart to let this one go, but it didn't fit him, so I'm so grateful that he finally let me take it off his hands and let me put it on my head
I will do my best, thanks. Today Im more groggy, but less waste of paper.Get well soon Daniele.
I love a true Milan. The color on this one is really interesting. Nice snag Brent.Stratton Milan (NOS). Stiff enough to be called hard. I’ve had a felt Stratton for some time but this is my first Milan.

Very unusual...pine martin! The liner on this one is really a storyteller. I like the color, and as a period stingy, quite a find. This one made it over from Greece (of all places). Not my style, not my colour and it appears not my size. Still had to have it.
Borsalino Martora in the colour Gaggia (google translate comes up empty handed on that one). Size 56 (but seems to have shrunk a size), with the raw edge brim at 4,5cm and the crown at 9,5 cm at the center dent. It has the full appearance of a "little hat" (which I don't like). I wanted it because of the "martora" felt (pine marten). Seems not many of those are around (Daniele has one) and there is one in Timothiescloset's Ebay shop. Lovely hand to the felt and very lightweight. Not "as light as light" as the sweatband would have you believe, but with 76 grams certainly not a heavy puncher. The colour is not that bad actually (Max!); a very dark green.

Well.. I‘m in love, but that love is unrequited. I was expecting a 7 1/4 and got a 7 1/2. My brains are not nearly big enough to fill this beauty out. Normally old hats are too small for me, too big is a neat change of pace.

Very interesting hat again Stefan. The liner tip oil skin is pristine. The lines of this one are appealing.Didn't know what to expect with this one, but it turned out to be a Cervo. Fedora in black, size 57 with the overwelt brim at 5,5cm and the crown at 11cm at the center dent. Fairly stiff felt with at probably part woolcontent. Styling is very nice though. Too large for me unfortunately.
This one is a corker! Who is the maker of this one, European? I need a topper, well actually I just lust after a topper. It would come in handy for events with our local historical society (1860s period costumes). Gives me a real reason to have one, right...It's not every day you buy a hat like this. It's not every day you need a hat like this. In fact, I don't think I ever will, but reason not the need. I just had to have it, especially when it came in its original box with leather handle [emoji4].
Thanks to Stefan for letting me take it off his hands.

Magnificent, Garrett. A work of art.
Send it back! Just kidding of course, Steve. Looks good on you (the crown seems to have grown taller). A hat is meant to be worn and it just wasn't getting enough headtime with me, so I'm glad it found a worthy home.It pained Stefan's heart to let this one go, but it didn't fit him, so I'm so grateful that he finally let me take it off his hands and let me put it on my head [emoji4]
