Number 9 in my nine-hat-haul last week. This one comes from Fort Davis, TX; a custom Limpia Creek pecan with chocolate ribbon. This hat has a 5 inch finished crown, pinched front teardrop, and 2 5/8 inch brim. Being a western weight, the hat is sturdy but has a good hand. I could not get a gentle fedora up-curve on the back brim to work as I had planned so I pulled the sides up to give it a decidedly western look. This hat is similar to my Stetson Gun Club, although with a much better fit and finish as you might expect.

Rare (to me). Wormser Texan Ten Star Western! Silverbelly! 3 1/8 brim. 5 5/8 crown. Like new shape. Felt shapes like clay. Yee hah!

Mayser "Superbe" possibly mid 1950s. The felt is is very soft and the brim is less stiff so not like a typical Mayser Homburg.

Recent $10 purchase! Bee Custom "The Strato" mid 1950s? Sweatband is on its way out, conditioned it and it's much better, but its days are numbered.

Dennis, Thank you! There is only a color number so not sure what Mayser called it. I would say a rust brown.
