Resistol Montana, came with dead rooster hat band, appears original. There is no ribbon underneath, so guess I will have to make one. No way that chicken is staying on this hat.

Mayser "Torry", 59cm, Crown Open 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches probably very late 1950s. This one turned out much better than expected. Really like the Felt (colors, finish and hand) and Bow design/work.

Fantastic, Steve. That's a real beauty. The felt reminds me a bit of the look of a borsalino m. gris fer. A winner in every way.

Thank you 65! You have contributed much! Always nice to have another enthusiast aboard. I thought no one would be interested in my western hats, when I first posted. Everyone was nice and welcoming. The wide variety of styles is interesting and I have learned a lot.

You know DD, before I started coming here I never would have even considered a hat that was in any way western. After seeing how well some Loungers, including yourself, wear them I found the courage and desire to give them a try. I now own and wear a few and few and I'm looking to acquire more. I still prefer fedoras, but I've added westerns in my rotation. This is a great forum with great people and I continue to learn and be entertained here all the time.
