Hard to be definitive from photos, but they are certainly close. I'm really liking the colors on mine for sure. Cool.

Yours looks to be in pretty good shape. I have to admit that I am elated with the condition of mine, particularly given what it looked like when I got it and in the online photos of it. Except for some light sweat staining of the liner it is close to mint. Almost certainly the best condition of any of my hats except for the Biltmore velour homburg.Yeah, mine is not as in as good of shape as yours but I like my beater hats. Fits my personality more than a crisp fresh new one.
Great finds;that certainly looks like a Strat.View attachment 64000 View attachment 64001
For those of you who can't sleep tonight. The wife forced me to take her to Ikea in Dallas so I did and then scooted down to the Stetson Outlet and picked up a couple of hats. A mink Norton which is unlined says 5% fur and 95% wool. And a sage stratoliner type hat with no label and no liner very soft and seems really nice. The first photo is pretty true to color on my monitor. The second pic just shows the lack of liner and cloth sweatband and is washed out by the flash. The gal that helped me was not sure what it was either and said it could have been a sample. It is a 2 1/2 in brim (so is the Norton). It looks like the same color as some of the premium strats, but I have only seen them online.
There was another Norton which was quite a bit stiffer to the touch than the one I picked. They appeared identical though. Got to see several Stetsons and some Dobbs in person. There were some Dobbs Topeka's in sage that were similar to a strat with wider ribbons. This could become a habit.
New Borsalino from Moontheloon in the middle between my premier Strat and vintage Borsalino.

That is sharp looking. Did you modify it at all? It looks like a straighter crown and shorter brim than the felt Temple. While the Arkansas weather from one day to the next is not ever the same.
This one is for summer.
Today I received my new hemp Stetson Temple.
I got it from our own Monavillecowboy at One 2 mini Ranch in Texas.
Thanks Mike for great service!!!

Thanks! I have not reblocked it ... yet! That is sharp looking. Did you modify it at all? It looks like a straighter crown and shorter brim than the felt Temple.
*cough*Diamond*cough*Thanks! I have not reblocked it ... yet!
I may do so the next time I am at Buckaroo Hatters. There is plenty crown... and it would look nice with a diamond/c crease.
The brim is 2 1/2. The highest point on the crown as blocked is 5 inches.
Great job Jim!Old hat. I finished rebuilding it yesterday. Was it a Stratoliner? I dunno, but it has those lines. I purchased this on eBay as a beater felt to play with - over a year ago. No sweatband, no markings, no interior paper tags - just a piece of old felt shaped like a hat. It sat, waiting for me to finally pick up a 7 1/4 52 block, which happened a few weeks ago. So I gave it a naphtha bath (many months ago), reblocked it (I think the body was a 7 1/8), re-flanged it, put in a sweatband generously supplied by Tim (CaneRodMaker, AlleyKat Hats) several months ago, and put on a new ribbon I acquired on eBay many months ago. I had been wanting to do this project for a long time. Despite the mothing on the brim, it's a fantastic piece of felt, and sat atop one of my hat boxes for several months with a beautiful dry bash I'd put into it (third pic). I haven't taken it out for a test drive yet, but I got the fit right and I like the color combo. The hat itself is a very, very dark blue/green, with a matching brim binding. The original ribbon also matched, but it fell apart when I took it off prior to cleaning. It currently remains unlined, and I think I'll keep it that way. It's very thin, lightweight, and as stated before, easy to crease and shape.
