Never heard of this brand. Very well made, has the oilskin liner between the sweat and the felt. I'm guessing 60s or maybe very early 70s. Any info/estimates of age welcome.

I wish I could find that exact color in a larger hat. My Husband has a off olive green sharkskin suit, green and white spectator shoes, sharkskin olive skinny tie, but no hat to actually match that color combination. Drats!

O.K. spill the beans, which Rum are you promoting here? hahahah!

My "everyday" choice is Mt. Gay Black Barrel, but I switch it up with Pyrat XO occasionally. However, I regularly pick up others - El Dorado, Diplomatico, and I'm a sucker for a Demerara. I long for another bottle of Rum 66, which I picked up in Barbados on a cruise but is unavailable in the States.

Also a bit hard to find locally, unfortunately, is Pritchard's Rum, out of Kelso, Tennessee. They, I think, are more known for their whiskeys, but they make a damn fine aged rum.

I'm thirsty...

Well now, you seem to have some very serious knowledge about Rum. My Husband and I do not drink Rum, but he does have Bay Rum aftershave! Haha! Well now, we have shared some nice Rum once down at our Place on St. Croix, but I am not sure what brand it was? It is just not something we consume. Single Malt Scotch gets a shot about once per week, and of course we snort a bottle of beer down maybe twice a week, sharing it. The Bay Rum Aftershave, is all him! haha!

I started drinking it after a trip to the Caribbean several years ago. I used to be a gin guy. But now rum/rocks is my thing. Never got use to whiskey/bourbon/scotch...

This is a custom hat I had from Cappelleria Melegari in Milan
Sergio Anzani, the hatter, has a catalog of five or six basic forms of hats from where you can get variations on the theme, as well as a historical shop where sell the best brands in the world of hats.
I chose a form from the thirties and this is the result

Proportions are: brim at 6.5 cm. (2 5/8 inches) and crown at 12.5 cm. ( 5 inches) bashed. Ribbon is 4 cm. (1 5/8 inches)

The felt is FEPSA 120 gr. beige (or bone)

I chose a color that was not present in my collection

The lining is a modern satin with the brand in gold
