Thanks Steve and Charlie!

Picked this one up for $30.00 for the boy. Its about a 6 1/2 (really small). 2 3/8" bound brim. The color is almost an OD green, but it shows differently in the pics. No tags anywhere. Thoughts on age?

Looks a lot like my mid 50s Stetson Custom V. Same ribbon treatment and thin brim binding. Mine has "Custom V" (with large V printed on top of the word Custom) on the front portion of the sweatband. I think the Custom V model had a factory crease.

Fresh off the block. Thin ribbon rabbit fur in alabaster. Sadly, I ruined this one in the ironing process when sap from the new board (I got too impatient to seal it properly) leached into the felt. Oh well, I expect to have a few rejects and it gives me a good excuse to keep them for myself. IMG_2169.jpg IMG_2171.jpg IMG_2177.jpg IMG_2185.jpg IMG_2190.jpg

Thanks Scott. I finally learned how to make those damn little sweatband bows for myself. No longer at the mercy of the minimum order lady.

Got this Stetson Grant 6x a few weeks ago for the winter. Hit it with some steam to get the brim up a bit more and good to go. This one is 6x but my SB Grant, which is about 5 years old, is 4x. I wonder if they are all 6x now.

Nice one. All I know is that the same hat model can be made in different felt qualities.

In these months I found a main source for Borsalino and with two others occasional bought I accumulated a great number of hats from Alessandria.
Today I started the classification in order to decide which to keep and which to sell because some are not my size and others are duplication of others hats that I get.

It's easy to say that all of these hats are a huge palette of gray. No other color.
Some are ready to be worn

Others need a lot of care

some only a cleaning

others are quite ready to go

and others are very specific

The photo shoot is quite rough and certainly the colors of felt (some particular as marten) have more and appropriate beautiful shades throughout the range of grays.
The shapes vary, curiously none is the typical wide-brimmed Borsalino.
With time and after some TLC I will publish them one by one.
In the meantime enjoy the bunch of Borsalino

Hi ladies and gentlemen !
I got this hat today and I don't know what's the model name , I know it's a Royal Stetson but I'm having trouble with the model name. The hat is very soft and lightweight , also if anyone has an idea about year. I think is somewhere around 50's but I'm no expert .thanks in advance image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg
