Dadgum Mingo...I like it!
Cool looing ribbon and the vents are perfect, I also like the crease!
Great job!

Thanks for the kind words... I like the ribbon. If it had been listed as a moss green with a rust red ribbon, I would think "Yuch", but it really works.

Today I have been wearing an old stock Beaver brand fedora I recieved from Major Moore.
One of several he purchased from Beaver Brand after they shut down.
It has no liner and had no ribbon, Mike cut the brim down and I put on this ribbon last weekend, Rocky put it on my favorite block to give it a fuller crown.
Nice, lite hat to knock around in.

Super refurb job there. Looks like a different hat. And yeah, I'd be proud to wear that hat as my summer "beater".

+1! I would never have guessed that was the same hat! Superb job cleaning that thing up!

Great looking Mallory, Alan. I'm surprised Josh could part with that one.

New hat day for me today, too...

Just arrived - Panama Perfection from Mr Fawcett.

Very nice, David. If I were to spring for a new straw it would have holes in it much like this.

Thanks Alan. I've asked Art several times over the last couple of years if he had a nice Semi Colado hat body kicking around so I was really pleased that this time he said "YES!"

David, you make me want to start investing in straws... very nice!

Cheers, Splintz! I think you'd enjoy wearing a good straw hat - when the temperatures start increasing they are so much more comfortable than most felt hats and also make a nice change of look.

Tom, Great rework by MM on your Beaver Brand! It looks fantastic!

Alan, Your Pre-Stetson Mallory has a great look! The long hair finish and colors are fantastic.

David, Beautiful VS Semi Colado Panama! I also need to add one to my collection.

Welcome to the Emerald City, Alan! The color and style are superb. The felt reminds me of my Borsalino Renna, but your Mallory is less earthy and has more shine. Gorgeous.

Nice additions, everyone-- can't tell from the photo, David, if that is all Panama or a panama/silver belly dualist, but I definitely can tell it is very very nice.

Just got this Akubra Squatter yesterday...I bought it from a guy online for real cheap...It's only been worn once or twice...I'm surprised at how well this Akubra was so easy to bash without using steam...It's really well made...I love this hat except for one issue...in the pictures it looked grey when I was looking at it online...when I got it, the color was jet black, and I'm not a fan of black hats...I wish it were a lighter color, grey or brownish...other than that, the hat is awesome...I love the tall crown and the wide brim...I creased it with a center dent and with a deep pinch...I have the front bashed at 4 3/4 to 4 inches in the back...the open crown is 5 1/4 inches and brim is 3 inches wide...damn, I wish this hat were a different color! I'm always close to my perfect hat but never close enough!....

for some reason the pictures aren't showing up....

I grabbed this yesterday at an antique shop just out of town. It's a well worn Resistol, only XX, but the fit and finish are great, and has lots of character. I enjoy the star pin, especially since it almost looks like a starfish to me.
