My Dad sold a 1968 Barracuda with a V8 and brought home a 1974 Plymouth Scamp with a slant 6. That Scamp went from 0-60 MPH in about 15 minutes downhill. That was one of the first years of smog control and seat belt buzzers if I remember right. I got to drive the 1968 cuda ONCE, but it was fun.
I just sold my 1937 Plymouth that I drove for the past 6 years, & for about 6 months it was my only driver...of course it had problems, but I could fix it & get her right back on the road...what a pleasure to drive. I was the 3rd owner & received it with only 75k original miles...yes I miss it, but I'm saving up to step up to a convertible...hopefully a Packard! If anyone has one...dont hold back!
Plymouth made honest hard working cars for honest hard working people.
About the picture of the coupe with opaque windows. I have seen this before on cars that were stored away for a long time. My guess is, somebody stuck old newspaper to the windows to prevent sunlight from fading and rotting the wool broadcloth upholstery. Over the years the newspaper got stuck to the glass and left it as you see today. You could probably wash it off with soap and water and the glass would be as good as new.
