I think the jacket come out pretty nice , I am searching for alternative maker that make suede jacket with padding. Can't afford too many Langlitz and seem none in the 2nd hand market :( )

suede brush (kind of a soft, bronze brush) to maintain the nap and kiwi suede conditioner. You have to exercise more
caution with this finish than say FQHH... The deer suede is super heavy!

maintaining a light color would be be more of a challenge...
all look very cool, how do they age?
I wonder how to condition / to maintain it

I don't know if this really qualifies as a jacket..but it may qualify as a 'shacket'-
Drakes Roughout overshirt ..it's very heavy but I cannot ascertain whether it is waterproofed. Or what type of hide it is made from ..(horse or cow..I'm not an expert like many on here)
I understand Roughout is fairly water resistant but I was wondering if anyone might know whether it's been waxed or waterproofed, however Google doesn't currently throw up any hits regarding this shirt..it's why I came here..thought I'd start the ball rolling heh..
I should probably make an actual post in the relevant section.

I'm currently obsessed with Roughout..
Whether Levi's vintage type 3 Roughout truckers,Black Bear's Rough-Rider overshirts, the overpriced & thin offerings from Ralph Lauren,Yony,Iron Heart,Iron & Resin (unsure if those last two are truly Roughout or not),or any other brands I've omitted ..I'm sure there are many..There's the Schaeffer outfitters one, wonder if that will ever come back in stock..
Schott,Joe McCoys etc cetera et cetera
Roughout rules.
The only issue with this offering from Drakes is they call it Roughout but it isn't shiny/smooth inside like I thought Roughout had to be full grain & therefore shouldn't it be shiny inside? Or can it be rough both sides?
Google A.I. says No..I don't know..

That is the only version of Wills that is awesome. Maybe a good brushing will solve the shedding problem?

Yes, it is pretty awesome. I do also like the earlier iteration in unfinished natural horse. I don’t buy into the hype with the waxed canvas versions, although I am sure it’s a perfectly fine jacket. The new leather ones in goat are not for me. I’d rather try to bribe TJ from The Shop Vancouver into giving me a slot for the new pattern Y2 Chore Coat…

I don’t mind the occasional fibre flying around. It’s gotten better (as one would expect), so I a, just going to wait it out (Other words for too lazy to proactively going the brush route).
