The original, dead stock ones from the early 20th century sometimes show up on eBay, but they always seem to have detachable round collars. You can imagine the winning bid prices!

I wouldn't even try and compete on a shirt like that, i am a veteran at losing in bid wars on ebay. I always think that I am good being the only bidder on an item and then 1-2 minutes before the end I am out bid and can never catch back up.

I would prefer buying new anyways, so to ensure many years of wearing.

Stormy Kromer

Just got two Kromer caps in the mail. The black cord and tincloth versions.
Both have the STORMY KROMER 1903 logo embossed on the earflap :rage: .
I am sad.
Millerhats has plain ones.

Yeah generic, with an extra neckflap. Fakefur lining. But plain. The Stormy is really nice but man how I hate embossing! It's in surgery now.

Four hours of preening under a magnifier with anatomical tweezers and a scalpel, the cord cap is now fine. I've got a headache.

Sort of looks like a double breasted number similar to a Pea Coat.

Dutch customs charged another $30.
