Not two men searching for underwear, of course, but my latest purchase- these are heavy material, solidly constructed and really comfortable. If they made a suit-style jacket out of the same material, I'd probably buy it.
These are a quality item. I've soaked them- no shrinkage, no blue ring around the bath. After a few more wears, I want to put them in the washing machine and then dry them by hanging them up. I'll separate them from other items. There has been dye transfer on to a canvas bag, but I can wash it out.
I’ve been circling their 1946 Mountaineer Sweater for a while now, I’ve managed to hold off so far. It’ll only be cold here for another few weeks and I have lots of jumpers anyway. It looks heavy and warm though.
@zebedee I wouldn't dare the washing machine, and especially not the thumble dry. I've put my '58 roamers in the machine and hang them dry, and they lost around 1/1,5 inch in length, meaning no more cuffs on this one! True, I never soaked them before, that may have been my mistake here.
I'm impressed with the couple of items I've bought of theirs and I wish there were more retailers in the UK who carried them.
I'd probably have more of their items if they did. I've found their sizes can be inconsistent and the measurements on their own website somewhat hit and miss and the potential cost of return back to them in Germany has stopped me ordering a couple of things.
