Does anyone have pictures of Lost World's Bedford, Downtown, or Peacoat? I have seen the website photos, but I am interested in customer shots, especially of the jackets being worn.
Thanks,
Philalethes

I've checked out that site quite a bit and do wish they provided pics of the jackets being worn. I'm new here, so take my opinion with a grain of salt, but I really like the downtown. I don't care for the belt on the bedford and I like classic wool peacoats. The downtown is pretty sharp.

I'm a new member. I found the site trying to find pictures of quality leather car coats. I like the look of the LW Downtown. But, I also like the Aero VESTE DE RALLYE. Which do you guys prefer? Would you go for the horsehide or the cowhide. decisions decsions. Help me out...

Maybe as LW break in, they ook better. To me, many of the pix on their site turn me off to the product. I'm not so much into the "accurate repro" aspect, so it's about quality and looks, and price. Just not my cup of tea I guess.

Here's a Downtown as posted in the 'Show me your favorite jacket' thread on page 3 by oneterrifichog (hope you don't mind me re-posting the pic). Oneterrifichog looks pretty good in his.

I can assure you that your opinion will drastically change if you ever inspect one in person or even better if you own one.

That is a very nice-looking jacket! The LW website pictures don't do it justice: from the website, I frankly thought the jacket looked a little nerdy, though in this picture it looks really sharp. Thanks for reposting the photo.

I prefer LW downtown and bedford....material is outstanding..
As I see Aero use the same collar style for their jackets and coats...

The more LW jackets that you see, the more confused you will be to finalize your order with Aero;)

Ha ha! Very true. At one point I was seriously considering a Bedford or Peacoat lined with 25 oz. alpaca. I think I am going to stick with the Barnstormer for now, but I would love to have a Lost World's in my collection - maybe for my next jacket (just don't tell my wife ;)).

If I may ask, is there any reason your Downtown was "demoted" from favorite jacket status?

Hi Philalethes:

I absolutely love the jacket but it is too heavy for the South. When my wife and i went to Paris a year ago I bought it then and it was perfect. But the only time I wore it this year was during the heavy snow and that was about 5 times. If I were in D.C. or above I would keep it but down here in Tennessee not so much. The horsehide is so thick that no wind gets through and the Bemberg nylon is extremely thick as well so it is great for 20 degree or less weather but it's 56 degrees outside today and I am in shirt sleeves.

Hope this is helpful,

Wilbur
