Pigskin is horrible. I love pigs, haven't eaten their meat in decades but their hide makes for such a nasty leather. Always looks like it rotted to whatever state its in and those triangle holes don't help.

So Horween has obviously been doing a few different teacore hides for a few years now; but it seems we don’t get enough pics of their hides as they wear in. Rebel Men’s Wear posted this 2 year old brown/red Lux. Only issue is the photo quality itself isnt very good. I would love to see a higher def, better color contrast photo of this.

Looks very much on par with the black lux on Simmons Bilt somebody posted here recently. The leather looks amazing.

@handymike Motor is amazing. I've been to two of their stores in Tokyo, met the guys in charge, and own boots and gloves from them. They make incredible stuff and their prices are much lower than you would expect for the quality you get.

The dad is the leather artist and the sons seem to be more in charge of the clothing business.

This is one of the statues in the store. It looks like it's bronze or some other metal, but it's actually made of leather.

Here are some shots of one of the brothers overdyeing his personal pair of engineers in the back of the store.

It's not something I can imagine having in my house, but it's extremely clever, when you think about it. Not only as a piece of eye-catching shop decor, but from pov of conveying a message to the effect "If that guy can make this out of leather, he must be very good t making jackets/ boots / w.h.y. with leather". A sort of skill demo. Bit like catwalk fashion.

Tempted to ask if he would be up to making something else in this vein, I certainly wouldn't mind having as a display piece either :)
