I think it all depends on the specific boots, jacket, belt etc..Really it does. Theres so many different shades of black and brown. Theres so many different styles and cuts. Ive seen it pulled of perfectly and Ive seen it clash disgustingly ha. I dont think I can make a blanket statement on it. Show me the individual outfit and then Ill decide if it works.
I fully agree with this. So many shades of black and brown that it’s difficult to come up with a hard and fast rule imho. I find that a dark seal jacket with some black teacore boots looks pretty good.
I also think that matching jacket/belt/boots of the exactly same leather and colour looks off. It just gives me the impression of too much leather being worn all at once. As usual, some people pull it off fine though.
Formal wear is a different story.
