Holy crap!

Say whatever you want about BK but that's a fantastic idea and seeing the original picture in order to choose your new order is pretty cool, specially knowing the origin of the style.
Man, it's such a shame, there are at least 10 jackets from that list i would love to order...

Exactly my thoughts! Such awesome jackets in that list.

Bill Kelso asked to duplicate one of my jackets this summer. I had a lot going on and did not follow through. I was to receive a repro of that jacket in return. A member here recently post the jacket he had reproduced by BK. As far as I know they do not own all those jackets. I'm sure they own some

They look like their owners wore them whilst showering!
IMO they look a bit too water treated. I would bet they have been in a washing machine actually, look how curved the zippers are.

One thing I've learned is that zippers don't like to roll. That's how teeth break and fall off. Best to make sure you've pulled the leather taut before zipping through rolls like those. That's damage waiting to happen.

See, that's something that doesn't sound as wonderful but then other makers do that with quite a few jackets, first example that comes to mind? The A-1 which as far as I know only Eastman Leather Clothing owns an original.

I would like to know where all those pictures come from and full disclosure of the ownership. Proper credits should be visible!

I can really appreciate these as room decoration in a jacket shop or cafe as contemporary art sculptures they does look unique as objects, but to me they are no longer wearable jackets

I think the optimum method would be to wash the hides before building the jacket.
this reminded me about discussion/ debate about a designer who some believe to sew the jacket straight from raw hide of a calf, lamb, etc and then object tanned as a jacket over Styleforum.:D

Yep, exactly that. I'm not sure I'd wear them but they're nice to look at.

Don’t usually like distressed leathers, but I’m kinda diggin’ this guy, especially the chunky knits, collar etc..

I’ve recently discovered this Japanese brand TMT. Doesn’t look like the best quality, but they have some interesting designs.

This is an original reversible Levi’s leather jacket. They reproduced it as part of their LVC collection.
