I really cannot imagine wearing CXL trousers, but they look cool.
I was watching American Pickers when I saw this guy wearing the perfect halfbelt. Yes I'm a sucker for halfbelts.
How common are (vintage) halfbelts in the USA? How big are the odds of spotting one in the wild? I've never even once saw someone wearing one here in Europe.

I haven't seen anyone wear one, if I do see someone sport a leather jacket then it's most likely a letterman/bomber type/biker jacket.I was watching American Pickers when I saw this guy wearing the perfect halfbelt. Yes I'm a sucker for halfbelts.

That's cool. I'd wear something like that. It’s a Cidu, so the leather quality may not be what we’re used to, but I love the look and idea of this:

I just saw this on IG myself. Pretty badass.
Nice jackets, they have been well discussed here. Members here discovered these jackets were made for JC Penney by Kurland-Star Sportswear in Boston. The early edition had a red wool lining. I just bought one and there are two others on ebay now. I have seen a couple with this label and the Nylon lining.
I am consumed with the Sportclad/Star Sportswear/Kurland jackets, I dreamed about one last night and made a deal today. It is the size 42 that was on ebay forever until she lowered the price then I ask for size confirmation. I confirmed the size tag is present, throat latch, 40s Talon zipper. She sent measurements to show her numbers. Describes as, like new, and pictures support that. I just got a wool lined size 40 and a Steerhide Kurland labeled MC size 36/38 recently. The Steerhide has the same unique quality, it is beautiful! Nice to have both leathers to compare, both are outstanding, some of the finest of the era. These jackets are nice. The size 46 Sportclad is not my size, it is a true 46. I know how the 40 fits so got my fingers crossed. Doubt I would find another mint one in size 44.
This is the size 46. The size 40 has the shine worn off, but is a beautiful hide.
What’s the P2P on the inbound one? I never could get a good photo. Since I already have one I didn’t want to chance it. This one is nice.
I don’t know that I ever have seen anybody wearing one, at least not since I learned what a halfbelt is. The only leather one is likely to see here are moto jackets or flight jackets of some sort, even those are less common than they used to be.How common are (vintage) halfbelts in the USA?
