Been on the hunt for a 70’s style, short rocker jacket for an eternity. Very tough nut to crack in my size. I have encountered some lovely stuff for the ladies though.

what does BILT mean anyway, it sounds german to me :D was it a then "hype word" for built or made?

pretty obvious acid and disco was a creative cocktail bomb, seems like every possible imaginable and unimaginable designs had been created in the 70s, together with every possible exploitation movie genre

Not really my cup of tea, but might be of interest to some here:

saw this in person at the Los Angeles Schott store last week. It's unreal. I've always been pro Schott but after visiting their store again, I'm VERY pro Schott now. There's at least 5 or 6 jackets I've added to my wish list. I wanted to check out the Per 70 Monitor always speaks highly about. It's fantastic. Per 28 is gorgeous. Very unique, nice cut, nice finishing touches. The 184 probably has the nicest "to touch" leather I've ever felt. They have a dark tan colored, trucker inspired, 520 I think, really fantastic cut.

I've lost a few pounds and I can finally fit into a medium size which makes things a lot easier now. I was always in between sizes, closer to med than to large, but kind of sausage like LOL. So I always got large and then had to shrink, and then the cut kind of changes and it never felt quite right. I'm glad I left my wallet at home because I might have left the store with like 3 jackets. I'm checking Ebay quite often for any of the models I've mentioned above because if you can get them at the usual 30-50% off new, they are amazing. And tbh, at full price (usually $850-1100) range, I think they stand toe to toe with Aero, especially the Per models.
