IMO that Mister Freedom is the 'best' by far rendition of the Grizzly jacket. Very nice !! I would wear it.

Sunset Bay Anaheim, sold by Anemoscope in Japan. It's a hybrid of a welder's jacket with a coach's jacket.

@Marc mndt Same same but different...pocket size is different and Thedi's hand warmer pockets do have a zipper. Backside of Thedi's version is more appealing. Nevertheless I like both in their own way. It would be interesting who of both companies made it first or if at least the frontside is a historical pattern due to the Californian label.

@Marc mndt Thanks for your input. I've never seen the Lee jacket before but I remember that I saw the Wind Ward somewhere before. I always thought that it's Thedi's own design. Now I know that it's a mix of many designs plus Thedi modifications.

When I saw the VTG 50's Wind Ward pic first I thought that I saw it on Bill Kelso's Archived Line which is not the case

@jeo Thanks again for posting the Langlitz Elkskin Columbia recently. I was curious and asked Scott if they offer Elkskin from now on. Here's his response and TBH I'm glad to read this even if I know that Himel offer Elkskin:
Waren’t going to be offering Elkskin as an option. The pictures that have been posted are of an old jacket from the 40’s, and a remake we did in 2005 for a special show in Japan. The posts prompted a lot of questions about the elk, so we ordered a hide to check the current quality, and it was awful. So for now, we are not planning on offering elk as an option.

You can ask Thedi leather about his natural deerskin. Elk in North America is a different species of deer. And elk in Europe is what they call moose there .

Recently on yahoo Japan at $6K+. I own several Seattle Woolen jacket, but not this one! Amazing. Looks like mid 1930s. Incredible leather
