I always felt the collar was a bit too small.
If I was you I would contact either Aero or Carrie asking if they have a batch which is similar to this one (probably difficult to judge for them) and you can for sure choose a wider collar like the one of the Premier HB

I was actually thinking about another 50's HB...but in boring black steer, standard cuff, quilted nylon liner and simple back with single point yoke and shoulder gussets. Throat latch and storm cuffs w/ the standard collar. That collar has kind of grown on me a bit.

Sounds good and I hope that you would like the collar this time (in case you place an order) and I don't think that black steer is not a boring choice - black is still my personal favorite leather jacket color for some reason.

That is a classic example of a jacket that looks amazing in the photo shoot but would look absolutely ridiculous if you saw me wearing it.
Disagree. You pull off the B6 perfectly. That jacket and a black watch cap, you’d nail it. Of course you’d need to be wearing it somewhere it actually got cold.

Thanks man, I guess I would have to see it to believe it with my own eyes! I think it all gets back to something that you and I have discussed before which is an individual’s level of comfort with any given jacket or style.

Comfort can be worked on :D
I agree on this 100%. When I joined this forum I never thought you would see me wearing something like the Vanson Chopper, it just seemed way too out there and hardcore for me. Fast forward a few years and it’s the jacket I’m wearing in my avatar with a custom one on order from Vanson due to arrive any week now.

Chopper was my first purchase...well second I had a perfecto for a few years before coming here and learning everything else possible. I was an ardent MC Cross Zip guy and still am for the most part. Although from being here suddenly I now have two G-1s. Never wanted them and never pictured myself in that sort of jacket. Im actually selling both of them now because Im simply thinning the herd and selling a ton of stuff. But the original Vietnam era Star Sportwear G-1 I wouldnt mind if that one doesnt sell its quite nice. But yeah all because of this damn place ha

I am considering pushing further the boundaries with the upcoming chopper order - still waiting on samples - with potentially going with charcoal grey and orange to match my bike.
I might decide to stay safe and go red... we'll see

^ I'll never forget the time I saw Iggy play Cabaret Metro in Chicago in 1996. He was almost 50 then, and I thought the show might be depressing - a musician far past their prime cashing-in, that sorta thing - but I'd never seen him live before and figured, given Iggy's life, that it might be my last chance. Backing band comes out, they set up and stick to the far perimeter of the stage, which I thought was strange.

Then Iggy comes roaring out, full throttle, doesn't stop the entire time, swinging the mic stand around over his head [hence the bassist, et al. seeking cover at the periphery], he's shirtless of course & obviously in better shape than my much younger self. At the start of "Passenger" Iggy begins pulling people up from the audience, over the Security barricade, to dance with him until the entire stage was packed. Absolutely incredible show.

Also love that he only buys used cars from the Classifieds, for cash, because he hates that whole hassle at the Dealership.

Needs to have a Seabiscuit collar! In fact they all do. It is the only one that closely resembles a healthy 40s shape.

I totally agree with this. What is it with these collars - are they 1980's collars? I have not pulled the trigger on a couple of jackets because the collar looked too weak. The inadequate collar has really started to bug me. I'd like to get out more often but I'm not allowed to. :p

Lol, this ad for Vanson's Metro line just popped up on their IG. I can hear the smooth jazz just by looking at the pic. But the jacket does fit him well & exactly like I've seen the E fits some members here. Strange leather, too. Seems lighter. Wish I knew what exactly to look for...
