Photobucket No Longer Works for Me. Anyone Else?

Mods...I'm not sure where in the forum to place this post. Please move as necessary.

Has anyone here been shut out of photobucket other than me? After seven years of having a photobucket account, suddenly last week, I found that I could no longer log into my account. I wrote the photobucket help desk...and they responded that the problem seemed to stem from a hyphen in my user name...but nothing has changed. My cat would have been more help had I just asked her.

Right now, they've got seven years of my photos held hostage and I'm beginning to think that I'll never see them again. I guess photobucket is worth about as much as I paid for it.

Works for me, but I'll send my enforcement squad out anyway to rough up the clowns that run that site.
Here's my squad...

I can still access my Photobucket account, but the latest changes have made it even less user-friendly than it was before. As you alluded to, you get what you pay for. [huh]

PhotoBucket went through a real rough patch a couple of months ago, for sure! They released their updated site before it was completed it seems - many of the functions just did not work. I wrote to them repeatedly and got the standard form response. Then one day out of the blue they got it together and it seems to be working fine now. -dixon cannon

I still use photobucket, but I have no idea why I have not found a better source for posting pictures. The general format of photobucket now, makes one have to really "hunt" to find any pictures you have stored from way back. I normally do not like to change if something is useful, but I think change now may be worth the efforts! lol!

I have come up with at least three responses to that pic, all of which I have deleted. This is a great forum, I'm not looking to get myself banned!

I understand. I opened LMH2's post at lunch today and immediately texted that photo to a half dozen of my friends. I could barely see my phone because my eyes were swelling shut from laughter.

It reminds me of The Italian Job (1969) wherein Benny Hill plays an inveterate chubby chaser.

Was just in Photobucket and it worked for me. Did you try logging in using your email instead of the password? Both should work, but you never know.

I guess I'm a little slow on the uptake and just discovered that Pb stopped third party hosting. Kind of sad that so many images from so many people on so many websites have gone blank. That's a lot of great pics that were pertinent to so many threads that are lost.

I don't see going back and trying to repopulate those images that have disappeared. I tend to upload most pics to forums from my PC or phone except when the site finds the file too large, or maybe when I'm not at my laptop and have the pic stored on Pb. I do have a NAS, so maybe I'll have to figure out how to incorporate that into the process without compromising my LAN security and not worry about the next "host" (what a bastardization of the word) jumping the shark.
