@deadlyhandsome , WHAT color is the ribbon. Love hat, color, specs, everything!
I asked several people the same question about the ribbon color Tuk. In person and under various lighting conditions, some saw it as brown, some as rust, and some as reddish brown. To me, it's just a beautiful old antique ribbon that I think looks great on the hat. Unfortunately, I only had a single yard of that ribbon so Brent's new hat is a one off.

Against that felt it does seem to have a copper or bronze color component. Looks great!

Does that hat tend to a more brown or more gray color to the eye? Really nice hat! I am somewhere in the que, going to have to pick a flavor fairly soon.

My latest Phoenix, and sadly the last for the next several months. It’s a great hat...Rick doesn’t know how to make anything else.

6” open crown, 2 3/4” bound brim, and 2” wide ribbon. Granite 100% beaver fur felt.

I absolutely love the hat. Soft hand and lots of attention to details. Thank you, Rick!

I never thought I'd actually see one of these in person, much less have one in my humble little shop, but here she is. I have hats to make so I can't dive into the restoration right now, but I hope to return this conformateur to it's original glory. A big thanks to our very own Dr. Max for rescuing this old beauty from the "box of oblivion" and for thinking of me as her new caretaker.

You are welcome, Rick! Better it belong to someone who can put it to good use.

Congrats on the conformateur sir. Very nice tool for a hatter.

Well played Max. I tip the brim of my hat in your direction this evening.

Best, Eric -
