I tried to play it cool, Mike, but I was like a five-year old on Christmas!
I can see the joy Brent!
Great hat ... kudos to Rick.

My Phoenix in Winchester’s willow Beaver arrived and I couldn’t be happier. Rick’s work keeps getting better and I don’t know how that’s even possible.
6” open crown, 2 7/8” wide brim. The crown ribbon and brim binding is grosgrain and the color of the binding is silverbelly.
These first look a bit furry but that’s due more to them being misted with distilled water in preparation of being creased:
I love the hat and Rick deserves all the praise I can lavish on him.

How would you describe the colour of the Willow? How "green" is it? I have a small swatch and to my eye looks decidedly in the green camp.....I am on the fence ab out it but it is the one colour I do not have.My Phoenix in Winchester’s willow Beaver arrived and I couldn’t be happier. Thanks, it is okay as your description seems to match what I see in the swatch I have. I like the colour just need to come to terms with what exactly I would wear the hat with.It is without a doubt a shade of green. To my eye, Willow is to green what powder blue is to blue...does that make any sense? I like the color as it’s pale and subdued and not brash.
I’d be glad to photograph it under different light or with a different background if you’d like.

Just received these fabulous furry beasts from FEPSA today. These are from the Tyrol selection and are unpounced bodies in unspecified, 100% fur. I know these are meant to be pounced by the hatter, but I'm kind of digging them just like they are. Warm and fuzzy. Left to right are Beige, Sand, and Anthracite felt colors. I honestly have no idea what I'll do with these, but you know how it goes, I just had to see them in person.

I specialize in unanswerable questions.....is the anthracite a dark grey or as it shows on my monitor with strong brown tones like the Winchester Granite?Just received these fabulous furry beasts from FEPSA today. Finally, an easily answered question. In person it actually looks exactly like this. Anthracite. More black with light colored flecks.I specialize in unanswerable questions.....is the anthracite a dark grey or as it shows on my monitor with strong brown tones like the Winchester Granite?
Nein zu den Lederhosen Bob, however, I can offer you a hand made waxed canvas work apron or a pair of hand stitched leather earth boots from my Cow & Canvas® Clothing Co. enterprise. With Rick's mad skill set he could offer matching bespoke Leiderhosen
That is a killer apron that beats the crap out of the canvas duck one my wife made for me. How much for the model in the picture? It might be too classy for my very modest shop in the garage but at least I would look the part as I wander about.Nein zu den Lederhosen Bob, however, I can offer you a hand made waxed canvas work apron or a pair of hand stitched leather earth boots from my Cow & Canvas® Clothing Co. enterprise. That particular apron is $135. A bit on the pricey side to be sure, but it should be the last one you'll ever have to buy. As with everything I choose to make, I strive for a quality that will withstand the test of time and get handed down to future generations. Plus, it must be "killer" cool or I won't bother doing it. The leather is oil tanned, the hardware is solid brass, and I make and use my own canvas wax that is all organic with noThat is a killer apron that beats the crap out of the canvas duck one my wife made for me.
