They told me three weeks to ship-off, which I found pretty optimistic. They would send a mail when shipping it, but I haven't heard anything yet. Two days ago it was three weeks since my order, but I'm not in a hurry. We've probably made them busy, so I'll wait a week or two before I contact them for news :)

Ordered mine in Mid-January, received it in mid-March. But I did order mine during the rodeo, which is their busiest time of the year for hat orders.

is it strange that Rick ordered days after me and will receive his hat today and I have heard nothing ?

I'm pumped that Rick is getting his hat and cannot wait to see it ... absolutely !!

just seems a touch odd ... no ?

I ordered mine on March 25 and they told me 4 weeks. I've not had any updates, but I might stroll over there and see what's going on Saturday - assuming they are open.

It may be due to "block planning". They probably don't have numerous blocks of the same style/size/oval. Therefore if many hats have been ordered in same combination, there will be a line of costumers waiting - but they may be able to slip in an "odd" order, while the others are on the block.

I'm not sure, but it could be the reason(?).

I ordered an OR-style milan vs another block style. That is a more common style locally, so they probably produced those first.

Picked up my Peters Bros milan at the local FedEx store over lunch.

First let me say that I'm sorry so many of you are still waiting on your PB hemp hat. I have no idea why mine was completed ahead of others.

The hat: my first impression honestly was mixed. First, I really didn't like their version of a cattleman crease so much and second guessed my decision to not go with more of a Stratoliner-type crease like a lot of others did.

However, after hitting the hat with a good amount of steam, I discovered how easy it is to work with this hemp straw, and tweaked the crease to my liking. The hat also fits much better after steaming it and then wearing it a bit.

In comparison, the hemp on my Stetson Stratoliner does not respond nearly as well to steam. The PB hemp is much stiffer than the Stetson hemp, which is not a bad thing. The sweatband is made of quality supple leather.

My only regret may be the crease, but I think that is an easy fix with some steam. I will wear it as-is for a while, but may yet change the crease.

Overall, I am very pleased and I think you guys will be as well.
