I still have the LP soundtrack album for "Paper Moon," which I got when I was eleven years old -- featuring all the great 78s used as background scoring in that film. Still the best vintage-type soundtrack album I've ever heard. If it's never been reissued on CD, it ought to be.

Lizzie...the Paper Moon OST was re-released on April 14th of this year...:)

It's been a fruitfull morning...I picked up the following OST for the collection:

Swing Kids
Paper Moon
The Sting
Kitt Kittredge - An American Girl
De-Lovely
Mafia complete score
(2002 - with all the music, including period pieces)

Plus...because I could:

The Wizard of Oz OST!:)

So far, these soundtracks have been amazing (especially Paper Moon)...my thanks to all of you for the suggestions!

Still on the search for Devil in a Blue Dress, Henry and June, The Newton Boys, and The Boyfriend OSTs....;)

Very nice work, Robert.

Count the tracks. Should be at least 42 there. If not --- you're missing something.

Armstrong, Louis:

I'm Not Rough (Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five).

Prima, Louis:

I'm Living in a Great Big Way,
Sing It Way Down Low,
Long About Midnight,

Jordan, Louis: (Seems to have been a popular name back in the early 20th century!)

You Run Your Mouth (And I'll Run My Business, Brother!).

The Mills Brothers:

Caravan,
Chinatown, My Chinatown,
Moanin' For You,
Out for No Good,
Tiger Rag,
You Rascal, You!

"Chase Theme" (#1, #2).
"Epilogue"
"Fate"
"Night Psycho"

"Sorrow and Church".
"The End"

Last but not least, the "Main Title" (one of the most awesome in soundtrack history, in my opinion).

Shangas,
Thanks for the list: looks like I was cheated, yet again....I'm missing:

Moanin' For You (MB)
Out for No Good (MB)
Tiger Rag (MB)
You Rascal, You! (MB)
I'm Not Rough (Louis Armstrong and His Hot Five)
Sing It Way Down Low (LP)
Long About Midnight (LP)
Lake of Fire

What's odd is I already have a total of 38 tracks...the missing ones would make it 46 tracks....

Shangas,
I found the songs on the site, but they are not by the artists credited on the list, i.e., The Mills Bros, or Louis Prima....

You forgot Pennies From Heaven, both the 1978 British mini-series that starred Bob Hoskins and the 1981 movie version with Steve Martin. The soundtrack featured the following songs:

The Clouds Will Soon Roll By -- Ambrose and his Orchestra (movie)
Did You Ever See A Dream Walking -- Bing Crosby (movie)
Down Sunnyside Lane (miniseries)
The Glory Of Love (movie)
It's A Sin (To Tell A Lie) -- Dolly Dawn (movie)
It's The Girl -- Boswell Sisters (movie)
I Wanna Be Bad -- Helen Kane (movie)
Love Is Good For Anything That Ails You (movie)
Let's Misbehave-- Irving Aaronson and his Commanders (movie)
Let's Turn Out The Lights -- Rudy Vallee and his Connecticut Yankees (movie)
Nasty Man (miniseries)
Pennies From Heaven (both)
Roll Along Prairie Moon (both)
Yes, Yes (My Baby Said Yes) (movie)

At least those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.
