Perforated Biltmore......

Mine finally came today. Did anyone else get theirs yet?

This hat is unbelievable, I never seen anything like it before. The felt is a beautiful light dove gray in color with a navy blue ribbon. The sweat is super soft, as is the felt itself. I can almost compare it to one of my Borso's, but it's super light weight.

Dimensions: 5 1/4" open crown, the brim is exactly 2", bound edge is a mere 1/8" wide, the ribbon is an odd size at 13/16" and the sweat is 1 3/4".

I was playing with the crease because of how soft and pliable it is.....I didn't use no steam or water, just a couple of dry bashes it show it off......it's a bit snug at 6 7/8, but I think with a little stretch will workout fine.

I don't know why the ribbon looks 2-toned in the 2nd shot? It must've cast a shadow or something....I kinda like it though......

Bolthead, that is one nice hat! Now I know who got it . It thought it was Dinerman. I think that hat dates back to the early 1950's. If it was my size , I would have paid 200.00 for it!

Scot, I couldn't agree with you more. When I 1st saw the auction, I thought the same thing, (straw).....it can't be felt.....can it? Low and behold, it's the softest, most pliable Lid in my collection, next to my Borso's.


CJ, yep he had a few of them, "Deadstock". There were 2 different kinds.
I know that there's at least another member that got one, and Dinerman was looking at them, but I don't know if he got one or not? [huh]

Yet another example of a unique vintage lid -- the kind you would rarely, if ever, lay eyes on. I love it.
