Pegasus D-Pocket "S"

I recently bought this from the bargain page of the Pegasus jacket website. It is made with their Dark Antique Brown FQHH and has a red/green plaid cotton lining. Initially I was nervous because it was quite a bit more snug than I usually like a jacket to fit - especially in the shoulders and upper arms. So after 2 weeks of wearing it daily for at least an hour to 4 hours, I can say that the arms feel much better and the jacket is really beginning to contour to my body. The finish is much different than my other jackets and has a lot more sheen, but the wearing has tamed it down in spots and I'm beginning to get some small wear marks here and there.

Based on the look and feel of it, I'd say it is very well made. The weight of it is slightly less than my Aero Dustbowl. I will have no problem ordering another jacket from Pegasus in the future and I'd recommend them to anyone in the market for any of their styles.

Thanks for sharing... that's a very interesting and unique jacket. Very good fit considering it came off the sale page. That type of double rider really looks best with a bit of a slimmer fit, so I'm glad it's getting more comfortable as it looks great on you. I particularly like that rich shade of brown, and as you noted, the sheen should continue to wear away as you put some age on the jacket.

Always good to see other jacket makers get some attention, the more options the better.

Thats one great looking jacket!! I think it fits you really well. Glad to hear its starting to form to your body. I'm not a big fan of D pockets but I do like how it is in the chest area and not by the hand warmers. I also like how the handwarmer pockets are sealed with buttons... It is a very unique jacket.

You nailed the hell out of that jacket! That really looks great and fits you wonderfully. The length of the sleeves and the creasing in the sleeves really looks great. That hat, that beard...that jacket is you!

I really like some of the Pegasus stuff. I just don't have the build to wear them properly, but that really suits you, and I have heard many good things from many happy customers of Pegasus... Wear it in good health mate.

Thats a really shatp cut. The fit is as good as the model shots on the epaulet website. Too good to be true in other words. Congrats.

I love this style of back; it's very similar to what's on my Dustbowl. This is a new model since I last looked at the Pegasus site; essentially, it's a slimmer version of the D-pocket they've been doing for a while. The original model, still available, is listed as a 40s/50s jacket, while this one is listed as 30s/40s. My guess is they've had people asking for a slimmer fit model, and produced this in much the same way as Ken at Aero redrafted the Highwayman as a 30s slimfit. Both versions look great. If I had the chance to try them on, I'd be tempted. I really like the design; it's shooting for thed same sort of wardrobe space as a Bootlegger. Different enough, toned down enough than/from the Perfecto style that it's more flexible in terms of what else works with it.

ETA: Interesting to note this one has the cuff zips, like the regular model, whereas the one on the website has button cuffs. I assume if this came from the sales page, it was a working prototype, and they decided to go with the button cuffs for the production model as giving a different period feel and more of a distinction from the other version.

Niiice Fit !

I like mine a lot, it took a little while to conform to my body, but now the jacket is quite confortable.

But the FQHH on mine was their first version, I like this one a lot better, this rich brown color is perfect.

Thanks Edward. The back is even better than I imagined.

It's interesting the way the sleeves zip on the top. I know that's not new to zip-sleeve jackets but it's rather striking on this one.

I've always liked their stuff, and it's great to see it in the wild. The back is really beautiful. Killer jacket.
