I've been wondering that very thing m'self. Perhaps she's slogged offstage, hoping we won't notice. Well, gentlemen, the only thing to do is to raise our voices in a chorus of "Caledonia, Caledonia, what makes you think you can hide?"

The bases are loaded...

...Caledonia, *hit cleanup. (*American baseball reference; in this instance meaning, "You're next.".)

:D :D :D Mine arrived today (yesterday, I guess, since it's after midnight). It fits perfectly, is very light and soft.

It is an Ecuadoran block, and hand shaped (I believe). I used a steam iron, towel and spray starch to build up the snap a little, and tried to sharpen the joint between brim and crown in front. Results in bottom picture (pardon all below the brim).

(Whaddaya mean, "Can you smoke a cigarette in the rain"? Wise guy!)

Comments first, more details later; it's too late and pictures and post took too long.

Now I can put my felt away. Happy day,

- Mark :D

I'm still here guys. The darn thing arrived 2 days ago and is now winging its way back because it was too small. But never fear, I think I ordered the right size this time. As for heather and mist, I may have to travel to Glencoe to get that to work, but anything for you gents. :D I will be back here as soon as I can.

Pardon my forewardness, but with a friend whose family makes Panama Hats, why buy a paper hat?

Because I'm eccentric... not crazy. :D lol HAHAHHAHAHAHA.

I am waiting for my friend to get back to me and needed a new summer hat. I also tend be an impulse buyer. It's fun to do that sometimes. And the hats not so bad afterall.

FORZA ITALIA! Ciao.

Here is mine:

The hat body is from Panamabob and the blocking and styling is from Art Fawcett. This is an incredible hat and exactly what I was looking for. ;) :)

Ok here's the one I just snagged for $16. From and estate sale, purchased in the 1940s, made in Ecudor. I'll wear it brim down in from, up in back. That's the way it has been "worn in" I can tell. Yesterday a similar vintage one went for $13!

So aren't you getting a little hot in there Marc? It's summertime, at least lift the visor and breath... you're looking a little pink!:D

Ah, in the picture it might not be clear: This is made of the finest Montecristi straw. But Marc, you should consider getting it reblocked by Art…
