I thought his hat bodies were only Cuenca? I didn't kno he had Montecristi.

No he doesn't have the Montecristi bodies. I was only justifying my new hat to the wife by showing her just how much money was being saved over a $1000 hat. Mike has a really nice Montecristi he wears to work in the summer time. He got it at a thrift store in Eugene, the rat!

As new as the end of last years straw season. A HELEN KAMINSKY, from Australia, clearly a subfino brisa (right?) but feels great and sits quite lightly.
They seem to be terribly overpriced when new, though, the workmanship is nice, fwiw.

i'm in the market for the ultimate summer hat to deal with the Los Angeles heat. have a decent budget and want to get a great montecristi panama. to the experts on this forum, where should i be looking to get the most hat for my $$$?

Buy a "Baily's of Hollywood" for everyday wear and a Stetson Panama or equivalent for dress up and events...
