HOLY COW, BUD!!

missed that completely. I'm thinking that a pair in our larger size should command some good money. Not trying to be greedy-at all, and if it comes
off looking/sounding that way-please-PM me, be up front like you always are-
and I'll listen like I always do- may not agree 100%-but I do read & listen to
what YOU have to say. No BS- you're a straight-shooter, no puns at all, and
haven't had the chance to meet a real lot of folks like you in this life.

If I'm WAY out of line-and I've done my share of looking at prices of special hats, and plenty of other singular opportunities, eBay & the real world, for a
few years-and have seen some bargains go sailing right by...please take a minute and shoot. I'll replace the apple on my head with a hat...

thanks M

Ideaguy, the price seemed a little high to me too, but I definitely would expect you to get a LOT more than $30.

I paid about $205 for my Whippet, once you factor in shipping. It's a 7 1/2 Long Oval that I bought from a Lounger through the classifieds. It is the most I've ever spent on a hat, and I was a bit nervous, but since I'd just let a similar one slip away on ebay for about $30 less, and I've rarely seen them in the specs I want, I felt it was worth it.

Does your asking price include all shipping and insurance fees? If so, it sounds like a high but not irrational price. If not, then yes, I would bring it down. :)

Really nice pair of hats AND my size.
A bit too much for me at the moment though. (that is not ment to be a comment about your asking price, just my current hat budget. :( )

fellow members - the price on my pair of Whippets seems to be way too

high, according to feedback from some members- and I asked for that

feedback. Based the price on what I've seen go by on the high end at

auction. And I was too high. Sure, a few weeks ago a Borsalino sold for

$450.-...and on, and on. But this being the place I like to frequent, I've

stopped with the high-falutin' hope I get all the money I need because I

have a pair of WHIPPETS, in a large size, in great condition.

So- the price of the pair of hats is: $350.- shipping is extra, insured, etc.

Thank you all who can understand a mistake in judgement. The hats are

being offered to Lounge frequenters only; and I honestly hope that

someone here buys them. As always with me-please contact me if there

are any questions, concerns, criticism, or simply hello, what's the idea??

Thanks Michael

Ideaguy,
Those are two nice lookin' lids!
I have two size 7 1/2 Whippets in excellent condition. I paid an average price of $155.40 each. One was much more expensive than the other.
I'd say your price for the pair is very reasonable if it included shipping and insurance. With shipping and insurance extra, I'd say it's on the high side but not over the top.
It's a very rare opportunity to buy the pair. There must be a buyer on the Lounge. If not, perhaps two members could cooperate on the purchase and each have one of the pair.
Success,
Carter
