I once mentioned to my Mother, that Canada was selling their P-51s with a spare engine for $1,000 in the early 60s, she just said, "who had a spare thousand dollars lying around!"

That $1,000 in 1960 would be $8,000 in 2015 (CPI Inflation Calculator).

I have uploaded some pretty cool videos...complete with various Mustangs, and one with a .50 cal Browning installation doing target practice. Check out the recoil of the Mustang as those rounds leave the barrels!

It's a "B" model Mustang. This fastback design was actually faster than the D model. This one also incorporates the Malcolm Hood.

The B and C models were identical, just the B was built in Inglewood, California and the C was built in Dallas, Texas. The same with the D and K Mustangs! Can't blame you for doing the Malcolm canopy. When Pete Regina was building a full size P-51B, he had a miserable time finding all the parts for the stock canopy. I can't remember the parts count, but it was a lot. I can say, I never tackled any thing as complicated as that set up during my restoration days!
