Sometimes spirited disagreement mixed with comraderie is easily mistaken for bickering, but I've never seen anything here get out of hand. However, some of us are very strongly opinionated. :cool2:

There was no "bickering" here. The above posts were helpful and expressed opinions, advice, and the belief that a vintage hat, esp. a Homburg, should not be, and is difficult to alter. Thank you for your imput everyone. Happy posting!
