Over 50 wearing leather jackets

Let’s be honest, the over 50 crowd in these parts is playing in a whole other league than their contemporaries and most younger folks too. They have the benefit of being well educated in outerwear, have a sense of style and a commitment to looking good (as the photos above clearly illustrate). I look forward to joining their ranks in 4 years.

First leather jacket was when I began riding seriously, on my own bike rather than rentals. It was 1969 and I got a brown Schott cafe racer. I wish I still had it.

I'm still in my 20s, but I love this thread. Definitely proves that I can still look cool even when I get older. Get the fit right and wearing a leather jacket over 50 looks incredible!

This shot is from his showroom where we were having a mid morning beer !
We were scooting around the showroom and workshop on these "demo" models.
Good fun for a wee while , but not for real for quite a few years !!

I'll be 53 in August. bought my first one when I turned 50 actually
I have 3 A-2 repros (2 from Eastman Leather Co. 1 from Goodwear Leather) and 2 original WWII A-2 flight jackets that are wearable but I rarely put those on as I don't want to add any more wear and tear to them.)

Not much call for a leather jacket around here, but I still have a few in the closet, and more in storage. Over 50? Yep! The problem is that it rarely gets below 70 here.
