They ask for pictures. Since it should make them ill, I posted a link to my youtube channel with over 80 Videos of an old man (me) wearing leather jackets!! Hopefully they will recover from their illness.

damn, instead of sleeping I‘m binge watching your videos...

I really like that Taubers police jacket!

I honestly can not stand people who think for some reason they need to tell other people what (not) to wear. Who tf are they!?
Their excuse is that they get paid to do so, that it's their profession?
I've worked as a sales associate / style advisor in the fashion industry for more than 10 years. Not even once did I tell someone what not to wear. Yes I have given advice and I've explained how and why some garments look good on someone while others might be less beneficiary. But in the end people should really make their own choices and wear whatever makes them feel good and confident.

I guess its time I switch to a tweed blazer

I have not watched, but who tf are these monkeys? By the look of their "style" in that thumbnail picture, I'm not impressed.

I've got about 14 months to go before I can officially start posting to this thread, but rest assured, I'm putting in the work now. Assembling a good collection of leather jackets, starting the break in, and hoping to be half as cool as some of you when the time comes.

Leather jackets, much like hats, are about being comfortable in your own skin. You rock a hat and that looks sharp. But if you wear it without confidence, it shows. And same goes with the leather jacket. You can see the pride in these pictures. It's ego, but not in a bad way. I put on my Schott 118 and feel like I can take on Mike Tyson. Not crazy enough to do it, but doesn't matter, because that's going to exude.

Keep them photos coming.

Nice color and nice jacket, there's one more unique piece of beaut from sincerely honored US history!

The most interesting repro I've ever seen! Lovely GW jacket Sir, this one is probably the most rare and most unique jacket made by John's hands!

People often says this but in reality if something looks dreadful, no amount of confidence will improve the look.

I watched the video above. They're right. But all they are going by is pudgy middle aged men wearing ill fitting and embarrassingly pristine mall jackets. They sure look awful. This couple of strident stylists may not be smart enough to understand that there are good and bad leather jackets and the fashion labels are no help to anyone, young or old.

Stop watching that video. You're falling into their click bait trap LOL

Yeah I agree to a sense that sure, you can't wear a jester hat proudly and look like a stud. But within some "regular" boundaries of style (color, shape, patterns, etc.) it makes of difference. Of course a little flare is cool too don't get me wrong. But of course, can go bad real quick ;)

Finally watched this. Good chuckles!
Can’t wait for girl-child to “do me a solid”, (does anyone still say that? It got worn out in the 70’s then recycled to now...still boring). Yeah, do me a solid and give me professional pointers. They obviously miss the point(er) that “old guys”, 40-45+, don’t give a s**t what anyone thinks. If they did they would move out from Mom and Dads and stop letting Mom dress them.
Reminds me of the saying, “those that can, do, those that can’t, teach”, or give “pointers”.
This is what you get when they stop slapping babies asses when they’re born.

Ps: way past 50.
