A nice shipment today from a couple different sales:

Brown Flagship
Light blue Vogue (smaller brim than my other green model)
40s Imperial light brown long hair fedora
30s brown Royal Stetson homburg

These will take a bit of cleaning up. I'm worried about the 40s sweatbands, they are from the era of rapid leather disintegration and are already showing some folds. It would be a shame to lose them. I still have to move out a whole pile of hats, but these definitely stay in the permanent collection. View attachment 522164

My D Bar J hat I bought, apparently, as far as I'm concerned, stolen by a USPS worker. Was picked up by USPS in California and disappeared before it was ever scanned into a Postal facility.

I’ve had some disappear for over a month before popping back up on the radar. Fingers crossed.

I was in on it for a hot minute.

“The sign shows a triangular shape with green colored borders and a metal casing. The front reads, "Stetson Hats" in green lettering outlined in gray and shows a black background. The top of the sign shows a small chain to hang the sign. The sign has been tested and is in working order. The sign shows good condition with fading to the black background and metal components, while the the top shows a small dented portion in the corner. The sign measures 4 1/4" L x 19 1/4" W x 9 1/8" H.”

I considered bidding on this formillion since it is in such good shape (better than mine anyway), but I did not expect this. € 1152 for just the formillion?!? I think I paid €75 for mine.

No liner tip. There is a union tag inside the sweatband.

Some hats have dust and some have topsoil. I’ve wondered if I’d be better off using a plow rather than a hat brush. Nice save…looks late 1960s of ‘70s. I’m really liking the brim curl.
