And you call yourself a collector? Certainly a hat of historical significance. It may have gone to the Amon Carter collection of Russell & Remington art, artifacts & memorabilia. It's beyond the budget a bit,

That is awesome, Bob—worth every penny! It’s my size, my team and could be awesome for StingyMas, so I thought to myself “go deep”*, but the hat was knocked out of my hands right at the 100 dollar line.
* (go deep is relative and for a guy who buys $13 hats, well, that was deep)
Early-to-mid 1960s Resistol X NFL Kansas City Chiefs hat.

Wow Bob, what a haul! Hopefully lots of good ones for you.I’m sure it was to “Fred & Freda” who ended up winning it. It had a BIN of $750. I just couldn’t stay in the fight after the past week or so of hat purchases.

Chump change for someone needing a cool hat for the superbowlI’m sure it was to “Fred & Freda” who ended up winning it. It had a BIN of $750. I just couldn’t stay in the fight after the past week or so of hat purchases.

That’s a cool one. I think I saw one just like it for sale a few years back…. Didn’t realize they did an NFL line At some point. It’s my size, my team and could be awesome for StingyMas, so I thought to myself “go deep”*, but the hat was knocked out of my hands right at the 100 dollar line.

Opening all of those boxes of hats is about as much fun as you can have (with your clothes on at least).I’m sure it was to “Fred & Freda” who ended up winning it. It had a BIN of $750. I just couldn’t stay in the fight after the past week or so of hat purchases.

Me too.....she did not mind another arriving yesterday but....pretty sure I would be in one of those boxes, this time being shipped somewhere else.....Pretty sure I would be dead… Dead. after this shipment showed up at my front door.
A funny story: I found a modern felt homburg for sale online. All the photos of the hat were as expected except the last that showed the inside of the hat. That photo was of a course Brisa weave Panama hat. I assumed the seller mixed up photos and included a different hat for the last photo. I brought the issues to their attention. Here’s the conversation:
