Found this 6 3/4 on Facebook Marketplace for $100 and cheap shipping. As of now it’s still there is anyone is looking for a hat in this size.
Nice looking hat. I like it with that brim curl. Similar to that Homburg-esqe straw I got a couple months back. But I like the more south-western look to this oneFound this 6 3/4 on Facebook Marketplace for $100 and cheap shipping. As of now it’s still there is anyone is looking for a hat in this size.

Nice haulA couple of interesting hats from last night's auctions. Each was paired with another not-so-interesting-hat, but for the same amount of shipping it's always good to have one (or more) to cover those costs when flipped.
First was this pair of Stetsons -- I'm really digging the heathered one with felt ribbon, brim stitching and telescope crease. The auction was "local" (about an hour away) so we'll go pick these up this afternoon.

This one looks like it's a Selv-Edge stingy Strat clone.

Then I stumbled across this pair that said "no shipping", but I asked anyway and they will ship. That could be the reason the price was only $10. The Resistol appears to be from the 1940s.

The finds keep coming in, Bob. The heathered Stetson looks to be a Railbird.A couple of interesting hats from last night's auctions. Each was paired with another not-so-interesting-hat, but for the same amount of shipping it's always good to have one (or more) to cover those costs when flipped.

I think I may have found a good one here. I paid $50 for this “leather” hat.
I searched “the continental AP hansen eau claire wis” and found two newspaper ads, one was dated 1910 and the other 1917.
I think this could be an officer hat from WWI.

Yes, that could be right. The red tag is certainly pre-40s, the vvv stitching also. The unsewn back of the sweatband and size sticker is usually pre-30s. I’d be comfortable saying this is probably a 20s or earlier hat.
The exact date on No 1 Quality hats is often hard to pin down, the lot number printed on the back of the sweatband might help.
Thank you for the helpful information!
I posted the hat to the campaign hat thread as well and I received information that characteristics specific to this style of hat put it as an NCO hat likely from 1920 to 1942. Based on your info it could narrow the range down to the 20s.
I found the number A885074 on a sticker and on the back of the sweatband. Do those mean anything?

The lot number will say “LOT” XXXX. It’s stamped in ink on the reverse of the sweatband.
The three cell blocking tag is from the 30's as is the once yellow/orange re-order tag and as for the round size stickers, Stetson was using them as late as at least 1936 if not later (they were used by many hat companies (including Stetson) from the late 19th century to the early 40's). Stitched sweat seam is a late 30's early 40's thing when it began to be used in earnest.......I think I may have found a good one here. I paid $50 for this “leather” hat.

And a fine One at that. Thanks for the reply and information! All the feedback I’ve gotten here and on the campaign hat thread points to this likely being a 30s hat with the unsewn back of the sweatband maybe pushing it a bit earlier. Dating certainly isn’t an exact science!
I’m happy to be able to say this is likely an NCO military hat from between the wars .
