I’ve wanted one for a long time (obvious reasons :) ), and now I have one coming my way after an assist from Max. Thank you my friend!

I hadn't seen all these posts because I am soaking my burnt legs in the waters of the Mediterranean. [emoji2]
Que viva España!

I can understand almost everything the natives say here. Weird.

I can't understand half of what the natives in Boston say... and England, well, Bob's your uncle!

Too bad it’s so small. Seller is asking $100 or best offer.

I believe it's in my watch list, but I'm suddenly pretty flush in the dress western --- though I was disappointed that my "ready to wear" 50s Strat wasn't on the porch when I got home.
A few days ago an OR from the 50s arrived that I bought off the eBay clearance rack. It was pretty beat up and dirty, and the seller estimated it as 6 7/8. I paid the opening bid and claimed it for $62 before the auction closed.
It has some staining, but if I can get them out it may be a nice hat. I stretched it pretty hard last nice, to about 7 1/4, and no thread popping. Steamed it on tje stretcher this morning, then removed the stretcher after it cooled and dried. Fits like a snug 7 1/8.
Now I find myself eying those flat Spanish Cabelleros hats.

Just bought this panama for $75 on Etsy, including shipping. I am going to PM Doug tp see what he thinks. I like the shape. Ignacio can install a leather sweatband. I think it's worth it.

You did well, Max. Certainly below wholesale/retail for what looks to be a very finely woven Cuenca hat. It has the sewn underwelt, so probably started with a much wider brim. This is something you generally see in Cuenca and other areas outside of Montecristi.

I passed on a nice one for $82, in Cuenca, that I wish I had picked up now... oh well... and it did not have this fine weave.
