My good friend Absolutely*Kate has a killer little story theater where the latest Noir is always playing. It is home to Noir writers from around the world who share their short stories. This weekend in honor of the Oscars, she is asking for your Greatest noir Movie of all time and your predictions for this years nominated films (Your story submissions are welcome too). Best Picture — "The Asphalt Jungle" (1950).
Best Actor — James Cagney in "White Heat" (1949).
Best Actress — Barbara Stanwyck in "Double Indemnity" (1944).
Best Supporting Actor — Edward G. Robinson in "Double Indemnity" (1944).
Best Supporting Actress — Ann Blyth in "Mildred Pierce" (1945).
Best Screenplay — "Strangers on a Train" (1951) or "The Killing" (1956).
