It is a valuable/desirable jacket, but not $3K worth.

I would put it on ebay at auction with beginning bid of $1500 and go from there. Don't price it at 3k and go down from there, that is a hassle. Everyone here and around the world will see it. You will find out its value.

It will not bring 3K here or on ebay, maybe $1800-2200 and even that sounds high.

We can only speculate about how much a jacket like this will fetch on auction, but for the right buyer this jacket will be worth a lot of money that's for sure.

Here a Europe a repro buco will cost you $3K. If I were in the market for one, I'd rather spend my 3k on this one.

$1000 +/-.

These jackets aren't as pricey as they used to be. I'd be very happy to get a clean $1200 for it. Remember that you can ALWAYS find one for $25 on Craigslist. It'll take a while but it'll happen.

You could list it at more but who knows how long it'll sit. I'd honestly rather keep it, if money isn't a problem.

I'm interested at 1K :) My collection still needs a Buco

Thanks for the interest. Still trying to process all the info. I am going to give it a couple of more days.

My gut feel is to list it on FL for 1800 -2000. I am convinced now that this means a lot more to somebody else. I am in my60s and my three children in their 20s really have interest or appreciation for the jacket. Best to find a passionate buyer

Gonna be honest with you, I don't see it. If it was a J-24, maybe and that's a big maybe. You've got condition going on for you, there's no debate about that but this style... Only the wearer will know it's not a Brooks AMF cross-zip and to me personally, that's not a reason enough to drop $2K on this jacket. But then again, might just be turn up to be that one piece missing from someone's Buco collection, as it is a rarely seen style, so go ahead. I hope you get the $.

when I first saw it, my first thought was don't sell it. Such a cool photo that memorializes the jacket. But if you're absolutely sure it's just going to sit in the closet and no one will appreciate it, my gut was like this thing is worth $1800 (so like $2200ish Ebay).

I've seen a few J100s in great shape go for about 800-900 range on here. Figuring the almost perfect condition, bigger size, etc. I can't speak to the rarity of the model. Personally for me, I'd pay more for a dpocket than this style.

Thanks everyone for your insight and advice. I was able to conclude a private transaction near where my "gut" told me. I think is a fair price. Good luck to all of you!

I hope it shows up on TFL!

No worries, I’ll post more detailed pics this weekend. Here’s a few quick fit pics

A little snug zipped but still breaking it in.
