LOL! I hear ya regarding those Canada goose parkas. For the same price as them, I got a decent shearling civilian type B3 jacket locally for about $600. It handles -35 (windchill-40) with ease with only a medium turtle neck sweater. I wear a short sleeve shirt to work with this jacket on in -10 to -15 weather with no issues. I've own North face and Eddie Bauer down parkas with 600 to 700 fill down. They are not as warm as my shearling jacket which has only a 1/2 inch fur throughout the inside. Only advantage to down it that it is much lighter and handles really wet conditions a little better. one more question, the duty fees, are they added to the price at checkout from their website (assuming you bought it directly from Eastman Leather UK)or do you have to pay duty/brokerage fees upon delivery to you in Canada?
