Gents,

Here is the next iteration of this "new classic" jacket... I am still thinking of calling it the "Hyklas" jacket...

Following the last post, the pattern has been tightened up (Taking into account many suggestions from the "Lounger" community). Front of the jacket now has a much more flattering "V" shape to it and 2-sided leather cuffs have been added as suggested. Leather side connector piece is fully twice as tall as previous and the new buckles have been added.

Other features now include:

Black 2.5 to 2.75 oz. FQHH (Horween milled HH)
Horn Buttons (Now all the way down, with no snaps)
Original US Army style backing buttons from the 1930's
Mid Weight 100% Linen Lining
Brass Cinch Buckles at waist
Flap/Patch pockets on front panels with button closure
One-Piece back now standard

Enjoy!
DD

Man DD - THAT is a sexy jacket! What an amazing update in such short time. That thing looks like a NOS jacket from the wayback time machine. And that's a compliment in every way. I could absolutely see wearing one of these. Thanks for posting this up - look forward to other's comments...

You're truly gifted.

Most guys work on bird feeders or their cars.
Few work on jackets.

Dave.. fire up the production line, that's pretty darn good!!

although.... can you tweak the overall size of the pockets? just a notch too big for me.

Great work!

Gee, a size 48. just what I wear..

Boyo,

Thanks for the comments... Although I will say that I think that the pocket problem is actually an optical illusion, due to the fact that the jacket is indeed a 48 and the mannequin is a true size 42, it seems to make the pockets look larger, since the jacket wraps so far around its body! Although I will take another look to verify as I am sending it out to be better
photographed on someone who it will actually fit!

Thanks again

DD

Honestly, I can't think of a single thing that might be tweaked to improve this design.

This jacket is fantastic. Really like the changes over the first iteration.

I like the adjusting straps at the bottom of the triangle shaped leather at the waist. This is very functional.

The button sleeves are a nice touch. This is a big improvement over the plain cuffs IMO.

Can't wait to see pictures of this jacket on a person it fits.
