Been spending a lot of time on the forum and checking out ebay etc. to find my next jacket and have decided to go find an Aero HWM type jacket (Aero HWM out of my price range), I know many companies made their own versions over the years and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on what brand/model I should be looking for to assist in my search? Thanks.

Hey Ken: it’s Bowen how ya be?
I’m definitely with @handymike et al on this one and in general. You can pretty much count on a quality jacket at reasonable prices. Takes a lot of worry out of an eBay experience.

Hey Bowen, I have been good! How about you? Decided I needed to put a little more effort into leather jackets (need to add to the rotation :) ). Yes, I have recently been scouring the classifieds! No doubt I missed out on some candidates in the past. Thanks, Ken

Get a Vanson Enfield for 600 USD and never look back. Getting the fit right on a HWM is hard, they are short and boxy. I wouldnt play roulette there with buying used wihiut trying on. Enfield is affordable, great construction and range of motion, just as thick leather, comes with 2 inside pockets, decently long in body and sleeves. Go down one size for a snug fit, they are relaxed fit in true size.

GWLS of your HWM! Sure somebody is going to be happy. Yea been looking at the Enfields and I really like them, a little different cut but like the zipper sleeves and back.....now to only find one in brown in my size :-(

A custom Raiders jacket from Wested could be made with slant pockets and would look a bit like a hwm, but would only set you back maybe $300. Not sure if they will do stormcuffs; you just have to ask. They also make one called the Walker that is similar, and one called the Skyfall that is similar too. They have a lot of options on leather and color too when you order custom. (Horsehide is only in dark brown though.)
