To be fair it is quite well constructed, at least compared to the MTM and OTR suits at the more expensive mens wear stores around here. The fabric is actually quite a nice though it does not seem to photograph well.

It seems a bit baggy to me. Like it once fit you, but you'd since lost a significant amount of weight and now can't afford to buy something new. The suit itself is nice but the fit doesn't seem kosher. I'd either tailor it down, donate it, or sell it off.

That looks like a nice suit and a great deal for what you paid. In my experience, simply wearing clothes that fit correctly will give an instant vintage look, even more than smaller details you might add. I've seen photos and ads from the 30s and 40s of suits with and without button-holes, cuffs, belt-loops, etc. But the clothes always fit well. Have a tailor make the adjustments and wear the suit with attitude and you'll look vintage.
