After finding a book recommended to me here (by Lizzie) on archive.org I've gone down a rabbit hole of online archives. I'm excitedly looking for manuals and guide books about housekeeping, cooking and health & beauty and etiquette; any type of practical everyday life books interest me. So far I've found (in addition to archive.org) hathitrust.org, Lantern and Google Books has some complete books as well. Do you have more interesting archives to suggest? Or is there maybe a thread about this I haven't found?

Also cookbooks online. Does anyone know where I could find British cookbooks circa 1935-45 especially?

Don't know about cookbooks but Project Gutenberg has over 56,000 online books. http://www.gutenberg.org
