I saw this jacket on ebay and was intrigued even though the feed back was (6). Note I was not about to bid but it was a pretty cool looking jacket after all.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/LOST-WORLDS-Horsehide-Leather-Jacket-Size-48-NEW/392949239932

I sent a message to him asking for measurements and got an odd answer.

"It’s not going to be perfectlly fitted to you. It will fit nice but your asking for something you need to go to a leather seemstress to do. A Taylored homemade authentic is over 3000"

I replied: "Never mind just thought I would ask"

I then got this reply:
"Yes it’s in my car. Give me a minute"

Then a few minutes later I got this:
"It’s cool if you want it. But it’s an unrealistic question we definitely aren’t the same exact size and it wasn’t fitted for me it’s just a size range from S to M to L etc.."

I never received the measurements so I decided not to pursue any further as it seems a bit sketchy to me. Not sure about what y'all may think.

It’s beautiful. I would ask for measurements and photos of those measurements. He probably doesn’t know how to measure. Perhaps send him some photos on what you are looking for. Great price and it looks new. If he can’t do that then he can go fly a kite. That’s my take. A 48 is probably too large for me so I kept scrolling...after checking it out of course. You know as well as anyone how LW sizes their jackets. May be worth a shot at that price but he should work with you.

Well, in truth, the seller is surprisingly honest and actually 100% right about the fact that the jacket won't fit perfectly, as in bespoke. Dunno, I don't think they're sketchy about it.

LW gear is pretty much OTR, if you're wearing a 48, it should fit.

LW are pretty standard, but he should provide measurements. Just in case. It’s a deal but still $500+ bones. There is some variance, if minimal, across their styles. Particularly at the waist.

That is certainly a good price but I would hesitate to buy without measurements because we all know the back and sleeve length can vary quite a bit depending on who that jacket was made to fit originally. The fact that the seller will not take measurements for you is reason enough to pass for me.

Who has contacted this seller?
I asked he to measure underarm in standard way instead of measure pit to pit inside of jacket...... He refused, also said the jacket weight 5-8 lbs.

Yep that was me that asked him. What prompted me was the sleeves, I couldn't tell if they were the standard LW length. I almost offered advice since I have been selling on ebay for quite awhile but decided not to go there.

I also reached out to this seller earlier and received remarkably similar responses. I'm not sure what's going on, but hopefully it's a diamond in the rough for somebody.

Looking at the photos of this 100% unique and so totally not Schott 141 knock-off at LW site - and hey, that's the one that jerkwad with a "spear" is sporting! - I'd say the jacket is pretty standard in just about every way. Back seems of similar dimensions. Don't think there's anything to worry about.
