He doesn't seem to have been around the Lounge for over a year now and it's a real shame. One of the nicest chaps around these parts and I always enjoyed reading his posts and the continuing saga of that Kombi van of his

Oh, I can only imagine.. I watched it on TV. I felt the goosebumps at the starting point, seeing them all GO - and to be there.. I can't even dream what it must be. You have fun, and tell us all about it!

I am off up somewhere between Lansett and Sheffield tomorrow, not sure exactly where yet as it's out of my normal route and a cycling work colleague is guesting me as its his 'patch'....hopefully the weather will hold off until I get back!

Ended up near top of Bradfield hill, outstanding weather, great crowds but very busy....only down side was people becoming nutters whilst cycling back home...ahem self incuded!!!

While Le Tour was on, we were making our own little cycling trip (nothing huge, I'm affraid, I'm a bit slow). 20 miles. It was quite the nice ride, a bit too hot for my liking: 28°C (82F), but we had wind (I used to hate wind, yesterday it felt good).

I'd been wondering what my set was for... maybe cycling! It looks quite like the ladies set in the ad but my set includes a cape and was more likely 1950s/60s. My set is definitely shaped for a woman and the trousers are short for just over the knee. (I've posted about it here before.)
