I have that exact jacket and it cost $349. It is a mid-weight HH, available only on the sale page and isn't as thick as the usual HH used by Lost Worlds. The standard (full priced) LW Ryder is $975. The similar Aero jacket is $983 at today's conversion rates. I think both are beautiful and I'll own an Aero jacket some day, but I keep reading how expensive LW is compared to Aero. They are almost identical in price. Were Aero jackets significantly cheaper a few years back when the dollar was strong?

No different than GM talkin' smack with the Camaro vs the Ford 'Stang. All in good humor - competition is good. They could very well have sold it on eBay and not even shown it there.
I think Stew can handle it. He's a pretty cheeky fella himself...

nice of the aero camp to do a little marketing for LW'S.whatever it take's to get there product selling...since the price's are similar,i guess there's no need for the half-belt anymore.oh well.

I will have to disagree with your comparison!
Aero claim is not true, it's misleading to say the least.
Grayland post is exactly accurate, Aero knows that as well, but for sure they will catch few more people with that false statement.
Cheap business practice!

Heh, it is a little cheeky, but I'm sure all in good humour. Stuart places such a high value upon "manliness", I'm sure he's man enough to see the joke.

Combination of things, really. I think Aero have just started to catch up on LW a little, plus the dollar has weakened again. Last I looked there was quite some difference between a LW and an Aero. Of course, coming from this side of the Pond, you also have to factor in VAT and import tax, as well as shipping for a bulky and heavy item, which rapidly pushes the price of the LW product up here. Naturally, you'll have the same effect in reverse over there.

That you, Stu? ;)

I find it funny and in all honesty anything that gives Lost World a little bit of marketing sounds like a good idea to me. I'd hate to lose one of the few companies in the world (not to be to dramatic) that is actual competition for Aero. Goodness knows Lost World really needs to rethink it's internet operation and likely move a bit more to take advantage of new opportunities in the rise of heritage brands/style.

Just got my Aero. Amazing jacket but LW is a much heavier Horsehide Hide. I dont see how folks can argue that.

for the most part LW is much heavier - that's Stuart's thing, it seems. He certainly appears very ready to brate anyone who would like a lighter jacket as "not manly". lol

Really? Wow. My HG5 weighs about 10 pounds!
My son I bought a LW 30's HB. It's thick, but not as much as my Aero. It's between my Aero A2 and the HG5.

Well I have my Aero and my brother in law has one so I have now seen two and I have owned two LWs. You seem to be the exception. You must have gotten special treatment. LW on the left. Cuff shot and then a collar shot. The workmanship is better as well.
