Vic,

Is this a contagious one? Over the lounge? Should we start the self-aid group of anonymous Montecristi sniffers?:p

Carlisle, Goose,

Beautiful Montecristi panamas - thanks for the photos.

As long as there are Montecristis I will continue to indulge;) ;) ;) lol

Sniffing your Monticristi is sufficiently within the bounds of reason that therapy is probably not necessary. It only becomes a matter of concern when you follow strangers in the streets and nose their Panamas when they stop at intersections.

Tom, They already have a 12-step program for this ailment. I am just not ready to take the cure. ;)
That 12 step program of which you speak, I believe that you have to buy a new Panama in each step, Is that correct???lol

Thanks HungaryTom!
Love that pic of the young lad in the Panama wearing glasses :)
Reminds me of when I walked into this diner back east one night and a guy that had that same bad ass attitude expression asked "whatchachewing heah?". I said, "as little as possible". He said "sit down heah nex ta me...I gots a proposition fa chew". I just made all that up, but maybe you get the idea. ;)

Carlisle Blues...man, I keep staring that pic of the inside of your Plantation. How did you get it to light up like that? Light from the otherside?
Great pic of some outstanding handiwork. Amazing art. That's what I think of Montecristi's..."art".

Yeah, I like wearing my fedora BBB the most for town stuff. Wore it so much that I had to coat the band printing inside with clear nail polish in order to keep the printing from vanishing. It's one of the older ones that says "Honolulu Hawaii". Brent said he couldn't replace it as that was an older run.

Have another one that I don't what BBB style it is. Larger brim, but not curled. And a Stetson Center Dent (which has a faint circular logo stamp that I've always wondered what it said). But that Plantation sets the bar so far as beach wear or while cruising and putting on my yacht
;)

ANYWAY, don't want to jack your thread...but I'm so glad you started it. As soon as I saw your new avatar with that lid, I thought "that Plantation is da bomb!".
You wear it exceptionally well. Chicks must dig you.

The Center Dent from Stetson says, "Made in Ecuador" or something to that effect.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning...smelled like victory

Carlisle Blues, Thanks for the credit on Jr. wearing his hat.
Goose, – I gotcha. I babtized that sunglasses photo of Jr. the Little Cesar…BTW you have already a BBB company history in terms of the sweatbands.
Warbaby, thanks for setting the limit for the subclinical stage I am relieved. BTW I just saw your reply about the painting, thank you so much. A true artwork – like these displayed Montecristi.
And at last but not at least to own such a plantation with the big fat brim… :essen:

Thanks for the green flag on the 'jack' Carlisle Blues.

Hi HungaryTom...

Ya didn't ask, but I'm posting for the hell of it...Here's a pic of the older "Hawaii" sweat band.

Hey, CB, I'm gonna take a look at the Steston stamp...bummed it's not clear...but thanks...was wondering if it was a "grade" or "made in" stamp.

7-Up ad and Panama

I like it for the beach and jazz...or when I am drinking the Un-Cola and laughing out loud like the guy used to do in those commercials ;) Remember those?
Goose, I'm sad to say that I recall those 7-Up tv ads exactly. The actor was Geoffrey Holder, and he was doing a variation on the Caribbean characters he was known for, like the villain from the Roger Moore James Bond film "To Live and Let Die." I do remember that full-bodied laugh and the panama on his head.

Here's something to bring back memories, Panama and all:
