Nice one 2Jakes. Right down to its little light in its protective cage, everything just works in this pic. Why a gas station in snow should feel warm and homey makes no sense to me, but there you have it.

Not sure how recent the images are of the snow at the pumps.

We are expecting some snow.

Even so... the city has shut down
completely.
We are not prepared for steady cold.
At most it'll freeze for a day or two
then the sun comes out into the 60s.

I imagine folks up North laughing
and thinking....

"You yahoos don't know what cold is!"

The photos which include folks are my favorites.
Everytime I see one with them posing
in front of their cars...I think of my folks
and days when gas stations were something really nice.
At the time, I never thought about it.
But now I do!

I am enjoying this thread and forum.
The moderators as well.

It would be nice if the other forums
had moderators like the ones on
Fedora Lounge.

We are very fortunate.
I speak from experience.

As a big SW fan, I find that both class and moderators (or any leadership) seems to be missing among the fandom. I love FedoraLounge because it's the only forum I can come to and legitimately relax and be myself versus having to constantly put on a tough guy persona to make sure my knees don't get broke by the bad attitudes.

In a recent post, we noted that the women's clothes form the GE - of "regular" women not movie stars and society types - were classic in an timeless and simple way - like the dress the woman in front of the gas station above is wearing.

I'm only on one other forum which is pretty much run like this one, which I'm even now more grateful for as I can't image letting one of these forums add to the stress in life.

Nobody can anthropomorphize a grill better than Lizzie, but to me, that one looks as if it's wearing braces.
